ISLAMABAD: Former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has taken a strong exception to Tuesday’s meeting between the NSA Lt General Nasser Khan Janjua and Indian High Commissioner Ajay Bisaria in Islamabad at a time when the Indian troops are unleashing state terrorism on innocent Kashmiris. “The meeting is not understandable and beyond comprehension under the present circumstances particularly at a time when the Kashmiris are facing worst state terrorism in Held Kashmir,” Nisar said asking the government to see as that message would be conveyed to Kashmiris with such meeting.

“We are meeting with killers of Kashmiris whose bodies wrapped in Pakistani flags are being buried,” he said adding that there was also a perception that the two countries are being brought closer to each other,” he said adding in Islamabad through such meeting an impression was being given that all is good. A press release issued from the NSA office on Tuesday, however, said it was pre-planned call on by the Indian envoy to Lt General (R) Nasser Janjua. “In the meeting, the NSA conveyed Pakistan’s concerns on the worsening security situation in IHK to the Indian diplomat.”

The NSA further told Bisaria that Pakistan is pursuing the policy of friendly relations with all its neighboring countries including normalcy of relationship with India. The Indian envoy also suggested to work on taking small steps for improving the bilateral relations including exchange of prisoners, visits of medical teams and trade initiatives. “We can build on these small steps between us.”
