Watch what you eat
Many food items that are sold in our country are laced with adulterants that pose serious health hazard to people. These impure ingredients are mainly responsible for serious stomach diseases. The situation has turned worse because of ignorance of the relevant authorities who have failed to introduce proper checks and balances to regulate the manufacturing of food items. As a result, profiteers continue to use substandard ingredients to prepare snacks and other items.
The unfortunate truth is that we do not have well-equipped laboratories to check the quality of manufactured items. The items are directly sold in markets without being passed through quality checks. The relevant authorities must look into this practice that has put the lives of hundreds of people at risk. This is a serious crime. Unfortunately, the authorities have overlooked this issue. It is hoped that prompt action will be taken to bring wrongdoers to book.
