Police kill proclaimed offender in Khairpur
SUKKUR: The Khairpur police killed an alleged proclaimed offender carrying head money of Rs one million. The ASP City Captain (retd) Rao Mazzhar Iqbal said that a CIA police team was despatched to Gharhi Mori Link Road to chase a gang of criminals. The criminals attacked the police team and in the consequent police action one dacoit identified as Fazal Mohammad Lund was gunned down, while the others escaped. The ASP claimed that Fazal was allegedly involved in 32 different cases including killing of a policeman in 2012. He also stated that the alleged criminal carried a head money of Rs one million. The police recovered one Kalashnikov, two hand grenades and a large number of bullets, he said.
In another case, the police was able to resolve the case of a girl Sanfaroz Jogi murdered a few days ago. The ASP City said the heirs of the girl had implicated their rivals in the murder case. However, following detailed investigations it was found that the girl’s father Hazaro Jogi and an uncle Asadullah Jogi had allegedly killed the girl. The FIR of the murder has been registered against the two and further investigations are underway.
