Flour mills warn of strike

LAHORE: Pakistan Flour Mills Association (PFMA) Monday warned of strike against the raids by the Punjab Food Authority (PFA). Addressing to a press release, PFMA Chairman Liaquat Ali Khan and Group Leader Asim Raza Ahmad said PFMA would observe strike if PFA continued to harass its members, especially the flour millers of Rahim Yar Khan. They said PFA should stop harassing flour mills as the Punjab Food Department was already checking their quality. They criticised ban on selling wheat flour in Azad Kashmir saying that such step would only lead to price hike. They demanded payment of rebate to flour mill owners.
