Asian Men’s Squash C’ship: Pakistan coast into team event final

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan marched into the final of Asian Men’s Squash Team event beating Malaysia 2-0 in the semifinal played in Korea Saturday.
According to reports reaching here, Tayyab Aslam and Farhan Zaman both won their matches easily to earn second seed a place in the final.
Tayyab Aslam overwhelmed Darren Rahul (3-0) 11-8, 11-5, 11-8 to put Pakistan 1-0 ahead in the semis against Malaysia with Farhan Zaman prevailing over Adden Adraki (3-1) 11-8, 11-8, 5-11, 13-11 to give his team an unassailable lead in the pre-final.
In the second semi-finals top seed Hong Kong breezed past 5th ranked Iran 2-0 to check into the final. Pakistan and Hong Kong will meet in the final on Sunday.
