The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has not only revived cricket in the country, but it has also rekindled hope among people. Residents of Karachi have been deprived of cricket since 2009 when the Sri Lankan team was attacked on their way to the Lahore stadium. An entire generation didn’t know what it looks like to have cricket in your city. The credit goes to the PSL for bringing a much-needed change to Karachi.
Ever since the PCB announced that the PSL finale will be held in Karachi, the long forgotten culture of street cricket has come back. Large numbers of school- and college-going students can be seen playing cricket in the streets. The PSL has played a vital role in promoting cricket across the country. Pakistan needs such sports activities to bring a positive change to society.
