Body elected
Islamabad: Distinguished journalist Sarwar Munir Rao has been elected Secretary media and image promoter of South Asian Civilisation Society of Pakistan in its hotly contested election here.
Dr Zulfiqar Ali Qureshi has become President and Professor Rana Taqi General Secretary of the society as the result of the polls. The other office-bearers of the society are: Malik Tariq Hayat (SVP), Dr Maqsooda Hussain (VP), Nadeem Akbar (Deputy SG), Farida Amjad Secretary Finance), Sarwar Munir Rao (Secretary Media), Dr Samina Nadeem (Secretary Publications), Tufail Khalil (Secretary Marketing), Ch Imtiaz Gujjar, Umme Kalsum, Shazia Qureshi, Faruk Ejaz and Saeed Anjuman Khokar, Members Executive). The third annual polls were conducted in smooth manner.
