PESHAWAR: Institute of Petroleum Technology at a cost of Rs2 billion will be established in district Karak and the Central Development Working Party (CDWP) has approved the project.
The institute, the press release said, will benefit all the provinces by generating much needed specialised work force for oil and gas exploration industry. It will be state-of-the-art and first institute in Pakistan affiliated with international organizations like International Wefi Control Forum (IWCF), American Petroleum Institute (API), SPE and AAPG, etc, to impart quality education.
The institute of Petroleum Technology will not only create quality graduates, but would also help increase oil and gas production which will ultimately contribute to national economy and foreign exchange.
The institute has been designed to offer three years Diploma of Associate Engineering and highly specialised 1 year and 6 months certifications from International IWCF, API), etc, no one presently offer in Pakistan.
The institute will be primarily for specialised certification like drilling and seismic and offer solution to oil and gas exploration business.
