MUZAFFARABAD: Nine people including three women were killed and five others injured when a jeep carrying 13 passengers fell into ravine while negotiating a turn on its way from Khalana to Chakothi near the LoC. While five people died and 13 others injured when a double-cabin pick up fell into a ravine in Sharono area of Shangla.
According to media reports, the jeep was coming from Khalana to Chakothi when it met an accident. Eight people died on the spot while a woman died in a nearby hospital. The five injured were also rushed to the hospital, where medical treatment was being given to them.
Almost all of the deceased were residents of village Bindi Bala Shah Kunja area of Khulna. According to another report, five people died and 13 others injured when a double-cabin pick up fell into a ravine in Sharono area of Shangla. Police sources said the van was coming from Mingora to Amnori area of Shangla when it went out of control at Sharono hill and fell into a ravine.
