Islamabad: Research plays a very important role in determining new facts and objectives. There is need to resort to the latest trends and techniques of research.
This was stated by Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Engineer Muhammad Balighur Rehman, whom a delegation of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand, led by President Prof Worsak Kanol Nukulchai, met here on Tuesday.
The minister welcomed the AIT delegation and matters related to education were discussed during the meeting. Secretary of Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training Akbar Hussain Durrani and Joint Education Adviser Rafique Tahir were also present in the meeting.
AIT President Prof Worsak Kanol Nukulchai apprised the minister about the AIT and its strength saying the institute can offer to research students from Pakistan. The minister said the budgetary allocations for the education sector in Pakistan had been enhanced and the steps were being taken for the promotion of quality education in the country.
He said students from other countries were enrolled in different educational institutions in Pakistan. The minister said research played a very important role to determine new facts and objectives. "There is need to resort to the latest trends and techniques of research," he said.
