LAHORE: Sherakot police have registered a case against a T/ASI and a constable on charges of assaulting a boy, filming him and subjecting him to torture, following a court order after six days of the incident. Police arrested T/ASI Imran while Constable Shafaqat is at large. The complainant, Awais, told the police that the accused called the victim from home and took him to a private torture cell on Bund Road. They first subjected him to torture, closed him in a bathroom and subjected him to sexual assault. The victim alleged that Imran started filming him nude and Shafaqat, who was drunk, assaulted him. They threatened him to kill in an encounter if he disclosed the illegal act. Then they took the victim to Sanda police station where the boy was implicated in a bike theft case. The boy got a chance to convey a message to home over which his father reached the police station and got his son freed. Police high-ups allegedly kept on hushing up the cops’ ‘brutality’. However, they registered a case on Monday. The victim’s family said accused Imran was enjoying protocol at Muslim Town police station. They demanded justice otherwise would stage a protest outside the CM’s Secretariat.
