I remember my childhood days when we used to play different games outside the house. We only took breaks for our studies and then resumed our day’s physical activities from where we left off. Even though we hardly rested, we never felt tired. All the exercise kept us fit and energetic. Unfortunately, children today either engage too less in physical activities or not at all. They rather prefer playing games on their cell phones, computers or other gaming consoles. This has not only affected their physical growth but has also weakened them mentally.
The truth is that technological ascendancy and the world of internet has gripped all of us. Technological transformations are getting powerful with every passing day and there is nothing you can do stop them. However, what we can do is limit or at least control our use of internet and gadgets. Moreover, this control would help our children engage in physical activities, because they are full of enthusiasm and find one way or the other to channel their energy out. Being physically active would also make our children socially confident.
