LAHORE : Provincial Minister for Primary and Secondary Health Khawaja Imran Nazir has asked the high-ups of Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan to take early decisions on the applications of the medical stores/pharmacies for obtaining Form-VII licence for sale of medicines under the rules. For the purpose, a dealine also be decided so that after that the action could be taken against the unlicensed sellers of the medicines under the law, Kh Imran Nazir said.
He made it clear that the Punjab Drug Regime of Primary and Secondary Health Department would act according to the guideline of the DRAP in this regard. He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting to chalk out a strategy for nutraceutical and herbal medicines manufacturers here on Saturday, according to a handout issued here. It was stressed in the meeting that leverage should be given to DRAP for the disposal of more than 7,000 applications for obtaining Form-VII and, during that period, flexibility should be showed against the medical stores.
