DHC invests $3.5bln in 6 years

KARACHI: Leading investment holding company Dawood Hercules Corporation, holding around 15 percent stake in Hubco, invested in major energy projects during the last six year to augment power generation to 3,276 megawatts.
A statement on Friday said Dawood Hercules’s $3.5 billion capital investment includes joint venture projects under the priority list of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. “The value of Hubco’s stock price had appreciated up to 170 percent since 27th September 2012, when Dawood Hercules directors were elected to the board, with total shareholder return of 40 percent IRR (internal rate of return),” the statement added.
