Punjab contingent departs for Peshawar today
LAHORE: Sports Board Punjab’s contingent will leave for Islamabad on March 16 (today) to feature in 4th Inter-Provincial Games scheduled to start on March 18 in Peshawar. Punjab contingent will feature in around two dozen male and female disciplines of the games.
Punjab athletes will feature in the following sports disciplines during the mega event: Archery, athletics, badminton, baseball, basketball, bodybuilding, boxing, karate, rowing, rugby, softball, squash, golf, gymnastics, handball, hockey, ju-jitsu, kabaddi, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, tug-of-war, volleyball, weightlifting, wrestling and wushu.
Moreover, the members of Punjab contingent continued to train at training camps on Thursday under the supervision of expert coaches. On the final day of training, top coaches delivered the lectures and taught the players how to cope with pressure situations during a sports competition.
