Cash, ornaments snatched

OKARA: Bandits Tuesday deprived a man, his wife and sister-in-law of cash and jewellery at Chak 4L minor bank. Irfan Sharif of Basti Iqbalnagar, his wife and sister-in-law were heading home from Faisal Mehmood Colony when four gunmen intercepted them and took away jewelry, cash, mobile phones and other valuables from them. Sadr Okara police have registered a case.

THREE-YEAR-OLD GIRL DIES: A three-year-old girl died in a road accident on Tuesday. A rickshaw was bringing passengers from Renala Khurd to Okara on the GT Road and near Kissan bus-stop a truck hit the rickshaw, leaving Shaista Mustafa, 3, dead on the spot and wounded others.

ACCUSED HELD: Sadr police Tuesday arrested a female brewer with 20 litre liquor. The police raided village 29-30/2L and arrested Nasim Bibi alias Sheema. A case has been registered against her.
