Six Punjab officers transferred, posted

LAHORE: Punjab government issued notifications regarding transfer and posting of six officers on Tuesday.

According to the notifications, Punjab Land Record Authority Director Operations and Coordination Rafaqat Ali has been made Officer on Special Duty (OSD), while Qasim Ali (awaiting posting) has been posted as the Section Officer (SO) Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department. Zahoor Hussain (awaiting posting) has been posted as Khanewal General Assistant Revenue. Pakpattan Colony Assistant Nasir Mehmood Awan has been transferred and posted as Muzaffargarh Collector Consolidation. Higher Education Department Section Officer Mohammad Rizwan Babar has been transferred to Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare.Faisalabad Sadr Special Judicial Magistrate Faisal Sultan has been transferred and posted as Mandi Bahauddin District Monitoring Officer.

PhDs: Punjab University (PU) has awarded degrees to four PhD scholars.

Fareeda Jabeen, daughter of Musharaf Ali Khan, has been awarded PhD in Arabic after approval of her thesis entitled “The Story of the Prophet’s Night Journey and Ascension to Heaven in Arabic Poetry: (A Critical Study)”, Muhammad Javed Iqbal, son of Muhammad Iqbal, in agriculture (plant pathology) after approval of his thesis entitled “Systematic Study of Cotton Leaf Curl Disease Complex Associated Begomoviruses and Development of RNAi Mediated Resistance against These Viruses in Model Plant, Tobacco (Nicotiana Benthamiana)”, Azeem Mehmood Butt, s/o Tariq Mehmood Butt, in molecular biology after approval of his thesis entitled “Identification and Expression Profiling of Micrornas in Hepatitis C Patients Using Next Generation Sequencing” and Aasia Khaliq, d/o Muhammad Abdul Khaliq, in environmental sciences after approval of her thesis entitled “Environmental Risk Factors of Tuberculosis and Detection of Infection and Drug Resistance Through Multiplex Analysis.”
