Shahnama

Mudassar Manzoor’s solo exhibition titled ‘Shahnama: A Journey Towards the Self’ is running at the Chawkandi Art gallery until March 21. Traditionally, artists have painted stories from Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh following the text, as opposed to today’s artists who find their own interpretation. Tracing Cities

Internationally acclaimed artist and designer Faisal Anwar’s first solo exhibition in Pakistan titled ‘Tracing Cities 1: Karachi’ is running at the Canvas Gallery. In ‘Tracing Cities’, the artist scripts public life in Karachi with algorithms, raw social data and digital codes to create conceptually intriguing and aesthetically pleasing forms, experiences and narratives.
