Two workers die in Lahore factory blast

LAHORE: Two people were killed and three others injured when a cylinder exploded in a garment factory in the Shahdara area on Sunday. The deceased were identified as Muhammad Irfan and Muhammad Younas. The injured were identified as Abid Hussain, Shah Sawar and Ishtiaq and admitted to hospital where their condition was stated to be stable. According to the eyewitnesses, the factory workers were busy in cutting iron plates when a gas cylinder exploded with a bang, resulting in death of Irfan and Younas on the spot. Police have removed the bodies to morgue.
