The Sindh High Court on Friday issued notices to the province’s advocate general and others for March 20 on a petition for protection of a freewill marriage couple.
The petitioner, Komal Shahani, submitted that she had married Muzammil Ali Qureshi on May 24, 2017, but her parents did not accept the marriage and were not allowing the couple to live together. The court was requested to provide them protection and to restrain the police and other respondents from implicating the couple in false cases.
