JHANG: Two peasants died when a sugarcane-loaded trolley fell on them here on Thursday. Mansab Farooq, 30, and M Iqbal, 27, of village Rodu Sultan were going to Athara Hazari to supply their sugarcane crop to the mills. When they reached Layyah Road, the tractor-trolley’s tyre was punctured. Both of them lifted the trolley with screw jack to replace the tyre, but the jack slipped and the loaded trolley fell on them. Both of them died on the spot. The rescuers recovered the bodies after displacing the trolley and its load. The bodies were later handed over to the local police for further legal formalities.
