LAHORE: An election tribunal on Thursday offered Hamid Khan and Khwaja Saad Rafique to agree on any five polling stations each for verification from Nadra of thumb impressions on ballot papers in constituency NA-125.
The tribunal asked both candidates to inform about their selection of polling stations till March 16, the next date of hearing. The court was hearing the petition of PTI’s Hamid Khan against election of PML-N’s Khwaja Saad Rafique from NA 125. Khan had requested the tribunal to order verification of thumb impressions on ballot papers.
Hamid Khan had accused Kh Saad and his agents of casting bogus votes and tampering with ballot boxes and ballot papers in NA-125 constituency. However, the returning officer rejected Hamid Khan’s allegations.
