Breaking the ice
This refers to the article ‘500 indigenous technologies 200 start-ups showcased at PU Summit’ (Mar 8). It is indeed a matter of great satisfaction that the seventh summit on inventions to innovations was held at Punjab University. During the event, speakers emphasised on the importance of strengthening links among academia, industry and society. If this bond is strengthened, the industrial sector will get a boost in its production.
The present gap among these sectors should be bridged to strengthen the economy. This could be done when all universities are equipped with proper tools that help in carrying out research in universities. In this way, problems and difficulties faced by industries are addressed in a timely manner and any shortcomings are removed immediately.
