Farewell comrade

Jam Saqi was among the few leaders who strongly resisted military dictatorships in the country. He was imprisoned by both the civil and military governments for his revolutionary struggle that spanned more than three decades.

He was always at the forefront when it came to standing up for the rights of the oppressed. In 2009, he was given a lifetime achievement award for his services for human and workers rights. His death has left a vacuum that cannot be filled.
