LAHORE: National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Lahore, in collaboration with a group of private educational institutes arranged a seminar titled “Role of Youth in War against Corruption and Accountability for All” at Alhamra Art Centre on Wednesday.
NAB Awareness and Prevention Wing Director Syed Muhammad Husnain was the chief guest of the event which was attended by people from different walks of life, including students. Students made declamations against corruption and encouraged their fellows to stand firm against corruption.
Syed Muhammad Husnain said that with the active assistance of the youth, NAB was determined to root out corruption. On the directions of the NAB chairman and Lahore director general, the Bureau has launched an anti-corruption campaign with the assistance of all major educational groups, he added. He said NAB had recovered Rs 289 billion from the corrupt elements since its creation in 1999. Prof Amjad Ali Khan, director of the group of institutes, assured NAB of help of his group.
