KARACHI: Danish Iqbal and Haider Ali Baig emerged triumphant in the Audi Quattro Cup Golf championship 2015 here at the Karachi Golf Course the other day.
Humera Khalid stole the limelight on the concluding day by winning the longest drive and nearest to pin awards. Humera, pairing with Abid Zaidi, was the runner-up, while Majid Paracha and Qaiser won the longest drive and nearest to pin awards.
Rehan Farooqi and Hasan Raza Habib won in handicap, while Rashid Mahmood and Captain Javed Iqbal secured the second position.
As many as 109,000 golfers participated in the preliminary round.
Danish Iqbal and Haider Ali will now travel to Mexico in November to represent Pakistan in the Audi Quattro Cup World Golf championship.
CEO Audi Ali I Khan said that around 170 countries would be taking part in the final round in Mexico. He announced that the next year’s Audi Quattro Cup would be held in Islamabad.
