IIMC annual award ceremony held

Rawalpindi: Islamic International Medical College (IIMC), a constituent institute of Riphah International University, held its annual award ceremony 2018 at Al-Mizan Campus, Peshawar Road, here. The event was organised by the Islamic International Medical College, Talent Exhibition Society.

Hassan Muhammad Khan, chancellor, Riphah International university was the chief guest of the event. Prof. Dr. Anwar-ul-Haq, deputy vice chancellor, Riphah International University and Engr. Asadullah khan, executive director of IIMC Trust were guests of honour. Parents of the students with distinctions were also present on the occasion. Medals, trophies and shields were distributed among students from 1st year to Final year who got positions in professional examinations.

Earlier, IIMC Vice Principal Brigadier (r) Maqsood ul Hassan welcomed all the guests and briefed about college achievements. Executive director presented shields to the class In-charges and class representatives of year 2017. Prof. Dr. Anwar ul Haq, deputy vice chancellor, Riphah International University presented shields to presidents of different extracurricular societies and their teacher in charges.

Riphah International University Chancellor awarded medals and certificates to position holders of year 2017 and overall best class (late Major General (r) Muhammad Zulfiqar Ali Khan) Chancellor Trophy to MBBS Session-2016 and best disciplined class (Sanaullah Trophy) to MBBS Session-2013. He congratulated all the position holders hoped that they will be great and safe doctors in future. He also appreciated the efforts of the students who organised the event and congratulated the parents of position holders.

During the event students presented different fillers like funny Khabarnama, funny ‘Qawwali’ and beautiful skit which were highly appreciated and enjoyed by the audience. IIMC Principal Lieutenant General (r) Azhar Rashid in his address thanked the participants and Chancellor for sparing time for this function. He hoped that in coming time Riphah International University and Islamic International Medical College will achieve greater success with the grace of Allah.
