Headstart School shines in KSF contests

Islamabad : A consistent high performer for the last many years, the Headstart School has shown in the Kangourou Sans Frontieres (KSF)-Pakistan competitions this time around, too, with its student Adil Hasan bagging the first prize in the International Kangaroo Linguistic Contest final.

As the KSF brings together the best pedagogical experience across the globe to promote a culture of critical thinking and excellent communication skills, the Headstart School students have been participating in its events, including International Kangaroo Linguistic Contest, International Kangaroo Mathematics Contest, International Bebras Informatics Contest and International Kangaroo Science Contest, for many years.

The flagship Kuri Campus of the school, which was founded in 1991 and currently has 11 campuses in Islamabad and Rawalpindi with 2,500 students from Kindergarten to A Level, is the authorised IB-Primary Years Programme and IB-Diploma Programme school.

During this year's KSF competitions, the Headstart School student Adil Hasan achieved the first prize in the IKLC final, while gold medals were given away to Ammal Khan, Abdul Hadi Ilyas, Eishaal Nasir Khattak and Noorain Sajid Ali and bronze medals to Muhammad Bilal Chowhan, Ahmad Atif, Hanna Khan, Yusuf Khan, Zainab Mujtaba, Arshiya Shirin Husain, Momin Rabbani, Momina Rabbani, Zohaib Arsalan Khan, Mueez Jamal Khan, Hiba Shahnawaz, Dyan Mehboob, Humza Hassan, Amani Uzair, Kamila Aazeen Hussain and Bilal Ahmed Awan and IKLC star badges to 184 students.

Also, the school led in the International Kangaroo Science Contest with two gold medals bagged by Zahra Faisal and Izaan Haider and two bronze medals by Aryan Ahmed Qureshi and Shehrbano Zainab and star badges by 41 students.
