QAU announces MA, MSc part-1 examination results

The Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) has announced the results of its MA and MSc Part-I 2014 annual examinations.
The results put the overall pass percentage at 39.6.
According to the university, 53 students sat the MA (English) Part-I examination and 21 of them were successful.
Shaneela Shaukat of the Islamabad Model Postgraduate College, H-8, Islamabad, bagged the first position with 316 marks.
As for other courses, 89 students appeared in the MSc (Applied Psychology) examination and 55 of them passed it. Zehra Ali of the Islamabad College for Women, F-6/2, Islamabad, secured the first position in the examination with 483 marks.
A total of 18 students sat the MA (Urdu) examination and 16 of them turned out to be successful with Aneesa Habib of Islamabad Model College for Women, F-7/4, Islamabad, being declared the first position holder with 342 marks.
In the MSc Mass Communication examination, 37 students appeared and 26 of them were declared successful. Kinza Bibi of Islamabad College for Women, F-7/4, Islamabad, was the top position holder with 334 marks.
A total of 35 students sat the MA (Islamiyat) examination and 28 of them remained successful. Shakeela Latif of the Islamabad Postgraduate College for Women secured the first position with 378 marks.
In MA (Economics) examination, 20 students appeared and only four of them were declared successful. The top position went to Attiqa Kausar of Postgraduate College for Women, F-7/4, Islamabad, with 337 marks.
A total of 191 students sat the MA (Commerce) examination and 34 of them passed it. Rizwan Zahid of Islamabad Model Postgraduate Commerce College, H-8, Islamabad, grabbed the first position with 564 marks.
As many as 40 students appeared in the MSc (Mathematics) examination and only four of them emerged as successful. Islamabad College for Women, F-6/2, Islamabad, was the top position holder in the examination with 599 marks.
