Notorious dacoit among three held in Malakand

BATKHELA: The personnel of the Malakand Levies arrested three accused including, a notorious dacoit, in separate raids in Malakand Agency on Wednesday, said a senior official.
Talking to reporters, Deputy Commissioner, Agha Muhammad Ali Abbas said that acting on a tip-off, the personnel of the Malakand Levies raided a house in Dargai and arrested a notorious dacoit Sajjad.
He said that the accused was wanted by the police in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in various cases of heinous nature. He said that the dacoit was under interrogation and would make further disclosures of his racket’s involvement in the anti-social activities.
DC said that two more accused Ishaq and Masood, who were involved in the murder of an official of the Malakand Levies, had also been arrested during crackdown.He said that the law-enforcers also arrested some drug-peddlers Muhammad Wasim and Wali Rehman in another raid and seized 9.5 kilogram hashish from them.
