Rawalpindi: The shoppers of the twin cities are now spending much of their time in markets and bazaars buying new clothes and other necessary garments keeping in view the fast changing weather.
“Now it is the best time to buy new stuff as the temperature has started increasing with each passing day. It will not be a good idea to buy new garments on immediate basis as one can timely guess the change in weather,” said Aalia Amin, a visitor at Awan Market.
She said the prices of garments at Sunday Bazaars are comparatively low but the shopkeepers in the open markets are minting some extra money from the visitors.
The online shopping is also gaining ground in Rawalpindi and Islamabad but most of the residents are hesitant to use credit cards for this purpose due to emergence of number of fraud cases related to the ATM machines in the recent past.
Tanvir Iqbal, a resident of Rawalpindi, said the fraud cases with regard to online transactions have created sense of insecurity among the people due to which he is also not ready to go for online shopping. He said: “I don’t think that it is the right time to go for online shopping as the hackers are out to loot money from the people.”
