LAHORE: Partly cloudy weather was observed in the city here Sunday while Met Office predicted similar conditions for the next 24 hours.
Met Office said the westerly wave affecting northern parts of the country had moved away in the northeasterly direction. It added that another shallow westerly wave was likely to affect western parts of the country on today and predicted that mainly cold and dry weather was expected in most parts of the country. However, rain-thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in Quetta, Kalat, Makran divisions and FATA.
Rainfall was recorded at several cities including Parachinar (42 mm), Balakot (14 mm), Kalam (13 mm), Pattan (12 mm), Dir, Kakul, Malamjabba and Mirkhani (11 mm), Cherat (08 mm), Risalpur and Saidu Sharif (06 mm), Lower Dir (05 mm), Peshawar (04 mm), Kohat and Drosh (01 mm), Murree (20 mm), Sialkot (Cantt 07, A/P 04), Islamabad (Z.P, Golra 06), Rawalpindi (Shamsabad 06, Chaklala 05), M.B. Din and Jhelum (04 mm), Gujrat, Mangla and Kamra (04 mm), Sargodha (02 mm), Gujranwala (01 mm), Rawalakot (20 mm), Kotli and Muzaffarabad (16 mm), Garhi Dupatta (14 mm), Skardu (06 mm), Bagrote (04 mm), Astore and Gilgit (01 mm) while snowfall was recorded at Malamjabba (03 inch).
Sunday’s lowest minimum temperature was recorded at Kalam and Parachinar where the mercury dropped down to -02°C while in Lahore maximum temperature was 23°C, minimum was 9.5°C and humidity level was 52 per cent.
