Our league
The third season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will be instrumental in dismissing the idea that Pakistan is an insecure country for sports. This is because, according to the schedule, at least three matches will be played in Pakistan. The tournament will also provide a feasible opportunity to our young players to polish their skills by playing in a team of experienced and best cricketers from across the world. In the same way, the event is being hailed as a welcome step by cricket lovers because they have been deprived of their favourite game for years.
There is no denying the fact that the event amounts to a talent-hunt as in the past it brought young players like Fakhar Zaman, Hasan Ali and Shadab Khan to the limelight. These talented players made their way to the national team owing to the PSL. The outstanding performance of these players led the team to the victory stand in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017. In this regard, the efforts of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), which worked tirelessly to bring the game back home, are commendable. It is time the International Cricket Council (ICC) also appreciated the endeavours of the PCB and convinced other countries to play in Pakistan.
