PESHAWAR: Speakers at a fair said one of the major hindrances to develop and maintain an affordable healthcare is the poor access to scientific information, especially in low-income countries.
The 1st Annual Health Research Fair for both first and second year medical students was organised by the Department of Medical Education and Research at Northwest School of Medicine (NWSM), said a press release.
The Research Fair included poster and manuscript competition among first and second-year students.
The release said the activity was aimed to introduce medical students to scientific research as early as possible in undergraduate medical education as well as engaged in as many various curricular/extracurricular undergraduate research activities.
