KARACHI: Additional District and Sessions Judge South has issued arrest warrant for former chairman Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) Khalil Masood on his continuous absence from the court despite summons in case of spreading misguided, baseless and false propaganda against a private bank and private company, and ordered the officials to present him in the court on March 10 after arresting him.
According to details, the court heard the petition filed by a private bank and private company two days ago in which the judge inquired about the former SECP chairman that whether he was present in the court. The court officials told that was not present. The judge expressed anger on his absence and issued arrest warrant for him.
It should be mentioned here that the court had summoned the former SECP chairman several times but he did not appear and also did not explain reason for his absence from the court.
