UCP claim Inter-Varsity Bodybuilding trophy
LAHORE: University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) organised All- Pakistan Inter-University Bodybuilding Championship 2018 in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) at City Campus Lahore.
The University of Central Punjab (UCP) with 116 points won 1st position and the championship trophy. UVAS Lahore with 73 points were runners-up while its students Zeeshan Mahmood, Ahmad Rasool and Ammar Ahmad won 3 gold medals. The University of Punjab with 73 points and one gold medal got 3rd position. Students from 18 universities from all over Pakistan participated in the championship. UVAS Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Masood Rabbani chaired concluding ceremony of the championship and gave away the prizes.
Earlier UVAS Registrar Sajjad Haider was the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the championship 2018. Chairman Sports Board UVAS Dr Rana Muhammad Ayyub and Director Sports UVAS Rana Amjad Iqbal were also present on the occasion.
