According to a press release issued Monday, Dr Faisal Sultan, CEO of SKMCH&RC, Lahore, said “It is a time when SKMCH&RC has embarked upon journey to take the cure closer to the cancer patients. After completion of its second fully operating cancer hospital in Peshawar, now the construction of larger most cancer hospital in Karachi is underway. Since the very first day SKMCH&RC is providing free cancer treatment to its 75 percent of worthy patients with funds collected through public donations and charities. Collection of such funds is not an easy job. Hence SKMCH&RC with help from its friends keep organising such events to create awareness about cancer and its treatment and to collect funds for free treatment of its cancer patients.”

The festival, supported among others by a beverage company and a private bus service company was an all-day carnival for families, a full day of family fun, fashion, festivities and compassion across all age groups, for a great cause. Celebrities, including Hamza Ali Abbasi, Uzair Jaswal, Ali Sher and Faisal Rehman, were present to show their support to the noble cause. As per previous iterations of the festival, the event included an exciting fashion lounge by celebrated designers. Clothes were donated from over 50 leading designers and retail brands across Pakistan with event attendees able to purchase these top brands at up to a 70 percent discount. Additionally, there was a Food Court with dozens of food stalls, a spacious Children’s Play Area with a lot of fun activities, including jumping castles, mini golf, train, merry-go-round, face painting, etc.

The event was fueled by fiery musical performance by Ali Sher while it concluded with a grand live musical performance by long-term supporters “Quadrum” which enthralled the large number of audience present. It is worth mentioning that all proceeds raised from the festival will be utilised for the treatment of under-privileged cancer patients.
