Karak district naib nazim ousted thru no trust move

KARAK: The district naib nazim of Karak belonging to PTI was ousted through a no-confidence motion hereon Sunday.
The JUI district councillor Maualan Naveedullah had submitted vote of no-confidence motion with the acting district naib nazim Inaytullah Khattak five days ago. Twenty-four district councillors including 11 of JUI-F, one of ANP, two Independents, and 10 district councillors of PTI including the district Nazim Dr Umar Daraz cast their votes against the district naib nazim Sajjad Barakwal. Six district councillors of PTI remained abstained from the proceedings. The JUI-F sources said that the party would elect its own district naib nazim and his nomination would be finalised in a couple of days.
