Asma was a fearless woman who crossed all barriers that her opponents created for her. She fought in an unwavering manner against social injustice. She was the voice of the voiceless and among the few who have fought for human rights. But it wasn’t an easy ride. Every day brought a new challenge for her, but she wasn’t someone who would give in. She became the voice of the silent, oppressed and underprivileged.
In this dark unjust world, she was a beacon of hope for those who suffer in silence. She supported democracy and criticised all anti-democratic forces. The sudden death of this brave and courageous woman has created a void that can never be filled.
