Roots celebrates high achievers’ award ceremony
Rawalpindi: Roots School System Harley Region held its 30th Anniversary celebrations and High Achievers’ Award Ceremony on 15thFebruary, 2018 at Country Marquee Bahria Phase VII in a befitting manner. Begum Gen. Khalid Nawaz was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The ceremony recognised our exceptional students who strived hard throughout the year to do their best in order to be part of this ceremony. Approximately 1000 guests were invited on this momentous occasion to celebrate the 30thAnniversary Celebrations. Roots Alumni were also invited on the occasion to share their views and success stories.
Parents witnessed the glory, respect and magnificence of the event and felt the enthralling moment of their child being the High Achievers attired in beautiful red graduation gown and cap. The Chief Guest and the parents acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of administration and the teachers who as the conveyors of best practice and catalysts of learning.
The function commenced with recitation from Holy Quran and translation. To pay tribute to our National poet, Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbl a spiritual and mystic Kalam was performed by our incredible school choir which received admirable appreciation of the audience. Right after Hamd a School virtual tour was shown to the audience. The welcome performance by O- levels Campus 3 Harley grabbed the attention of the audience.
The performances at the High Achievers’ Ceremony were compelling and synchronised. The conscientiousness and dedication demonstrated by Roots Team was commendable. Roots Head Boy and Head Girl shared the ‘vision of youth’ about their beloved country and depicted that Rootsians are proven leaders who have the confidence to lead successful futures wherever they go. A young student dedicated a poem, tribute to roots - “Roots, to you, I belong” was also narrated on stage.
Young students of Girls High School 83 Harley spellbound and enthralled the audience with their elegant and graceful presentation on “Depiction of diverse languages” in which they showcased Urdu, Turkish, Persian and Arabic languages. The glittery and shimmery costumes stole the show completely. The grand finale of the ceremony ‘Pakistan Our Pride – Pakistan Our Identity’, awestruck the audience with flamboyant and exquisite presentations of provinces of Pakistan.
