Man goes missing as daughter found murdered
Police were on the hunt for a man, who was recently freed from jail after serving time for his wife’s murder, after his 16-year-old daughter was found murdered at their house in Chakra Goth, Korangi, on Friday.
A medico-legal examiner at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) confirmed that Samreen, daughter of Khalid, was stabbed in her abdomen with a sharp object. In his statement, the victim’s brother said when he left for Friday prayers, his father was at home with his sister, said Zaman Town police SHO Malik Ashfaq.
The victim’s brother said his sister was dead when he returned home and his father was nowhere to be found. Speaking to The News, District Korangi SSP Nauman Siddiqui said it was likely that Khalid had killed his daughter, adding that the man had recently been freed from jail after serving time for his wife’s murder in Shikarpur.
