SUKKUR: The Khairpur police recovered seven children and arrested two alleged criminals on Sunday. SP Khairpur Sajid Husain Khokhar while talking to the media said that Khursheed Bano Gaddahi, a resident of Gharhi Mori, Khairpur, had filed a petition with the Circuit Bench of Sindh High Court at Sukkur, maintaining that her husband Akhtiar along with co-accused took away her seven children and sold them in the limits of Baqirani area of Larkana.
The SP said that the court directed the police to ensure safe recovery of the children. Accordingly, a special team, led by SHO Piryaloi Qabil Khan Bhayo, conducted a raid on a house in Baqrani and recovered the children, including Shabana 13, Nazia 7, Ihsan 8, Insaf Ali 6, Benazir, Kainat and Naseem Ali. He said the police arrested two criminals, who had made the children hostage. The criminals were identified as Salim and Waheed Bhatti. Two TT pistols and a motorcycle were recovered from them. He said an investigation was underway.
