MANSEHRA: Prime Minster Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has sanctioned a special grant of Rs300 million, which will equally be distributed among three lawmakers of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in the district.
"The PM has sanctioned Rs100 million each for three provincial assembly constituencies of Mansehra during our meeting with him in Islamabad," MPA Saleh Muhammad Khan told reporters here on Wednesday.
He said that a party delegation led by Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Mohammad Yousuf had met Khaqan Abbasi in federal capital on Tuesday, where the latter sanctioned the funds.
Saleh said that Rs100 million each would be spent on the development projects in various sectors in PK-53, PK-54 and PK-55. He said that all 17 PML-N lawmakers would also receive a special grant of Rs1.70 billion, which would equally be distributed among them as they were being discriminated by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf led provincial government in distributions of funds. He added that Amir Muqam, the provincial president of party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, had already requested for sanction of special funds for the party MPAs.
