LAHORE: Secretary Sports Punjab Muhammad Aamir Jan said the timely completion of sports projects is essential for the bright future of sports in Pakistan, he said this while addressing a key meeting at Punjab Stadium on Wednesday.
The meeting was convened to review the development work and installation of floodlights at sports venues in suburban areas of Lahore.The meeting was attended by Director Admin Javed Rasheed Chohan, Deputy Secretary Planning Tehmina Habib, Assistant Director Planning Malik Nasir and other top officials. Concerned officers thoroughly briefed Secretary Sports Punjab Muhammad Aamir Jan about the progress of construction work at cricket grounds at Rakh Shahdara (Gaowshala), Karol Ghatti, Pandoki Raiwind and Blind cricket ground at Rakh Jhedo, Nishtar Town.
Addressing the meeting, Secretary Sports Punjab Muhammad Aamir Jan said Sports Board Punjab is taking every possible measure for the promotion of sports and sports culture will grow in the province after the completion of sports projects especially in the suburban and far-flung areas.
Secretary Sports Punjab Muhammad Aamir Jan directed the contractors and concerned staff to complete the sports schemes as early as possible. “Providing sports facilities to our talented youth is our top priority and we will utilize all of our resources to achieve our target”.
