LAHORE: The annual fun fair of Government College of Home Economics Gulberg was inaugurated on Wednesday by the chief guest, head of Chemical Pathology Department Dr Syeda Sumbla Ghazni at University of Health Sciences (UHS).

According to a press release, Principal Prof Dr Ambreen Sagheer, Vice-Principal Durdana Qaisar and head of departments welcomed the chief guest and accompanied her taking a round of stalls. Dr Syeda Sumbla Ghazni appreciated the hand-made products prepared by the students of Food and Nutrition, Textile and Clothing, Art and Design, Housing Home Management and Interior Design, Human Development and Family Studies.

The students made cushion covers, bed-sheets, lamp shades, wall-hangings, cotton- dolls, decoration items, pottery, cakes, sandwiches, hand-made purses which were lauded by all. The other stalls included palmistry, games, food items, artificial jewellery, decoration piece, purses, cosmetics and embroidered clothes. The college ground was decorated with colourful banners. Live commentary, music and colourful clothes of the girls added to the beauty and fun of the event. The girls enjoyed the rides. The event culminated with a jam session. The event provided students a break from their monotonous routine.
