Pashto poetry book published
PESHAWAR: A Pashto poetry book “Bali Devee” has been published which is a good addition to the Pashto literature.
The poet, Hameedur Rehman Nadaan, is a schoolteacher by profession. He has two other books of Pashto poetry to his credit as well. The new 159-page book has 100 poems, ghazals and stanzas. The preface has been written by renowned Pashto poet and intellectual Saleem Raaz.
Saleem Raaz says the poetry composed by Nadan is interesting and covers almost all the salient features of the Pakhtun society. The poetry presents the real picture of the different problems and difficulties of the Pakhtuns.
He says it also criticises different aspects of the Pakhtun society that have created many problems for the folk.Nadaan criticizes those poets, who are silent over the miseries of the Pakhtuns and are not playing any role in reforming the society.
