Justice Yawar Ali takes oath as LHC CJ
LAHORE: Justice Muhammad Yawar Ali on Wednesday took oath as the 46th Chief Justice Lahore High Court at a ceremony held at Governor’s House.
Punjab Governor Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana administered the oath. Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Punjab Assembly speaker, judges of Lahore High Court, provincial ministers, vice chairman Pakistan Bar Council, presidents and office-bearers of Lahore High Court Bar Association and Lahore Bar Association, provincial and federal law officers and a host of legal luminaries graced the occasion.
Lahore High Court Chief Justice Muhammad Yawar Ali soon after assuming his office on Wednesday transferred LHC Registrar Khurshid Anwar Rizvi and made him officer on special duty (OSD). The CJ transferred Muzaffargarh District and Sessions Judge Bahadur Ali Khan and appointed him as the LHC registrar.
