JI rally on Kashmir Solidarity Day
Islamabad: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) will stage a public rally here at Aapara Chowk in connection with the Kashmir Solidarity Day being observed to express solidarity with Kashmiris today (February 5).
JI Islamabad ameer Zubair Farooq Khan told a news conference here said that central ameer Senator Sirajul Haq and other leadership will address the Kashmir rally. JI Islamabad general secretary Ameer Usman, naib ameer Muhammad Sufiyan Abbasi and secretary information Sajjad Ahmad Abbasi were also present on the occasion.
Zubair Farooq said likewise the previous years, the JI will observe the Kashmir Solidarity week this year also during which different programmes including rallies and seminars will be organised.
The JI leader reiterated support of the Pakistani nation to Kashmiris struggle for their right of self-determination saying that the long-standing issue should be resolved in the light of United Nations resolutions. He also paid rich tributes of Kashmiri leader Syed Ali Gilani for his continuous freedom struggle which spans over decades for independence from Indian occupation.
