Javed Malik’s diplomatic services appreciated
BAHRAIN: Undersecretary of Foreign Ministry, Sheikha Rana has appreciated the outstanding role played by Ambassador Javed Malik in strengthening and expanding the bilateral diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Bahrain, says a press release.
She said that “the last two years achieved major milestones in our diplomatic ties by upgrading our bilateral ties to a Joint Ministerial Commission which was held during the visit of Foreign Minister of Bahrain in February 2017. Additionally, the Commerce Minister of Bahrain also visited Pakistan for the landmark second edition of Pakistan Bahrain Business Opportunities Conference which was co-chaired by his Pakistani counterpart. She said the finalisation and signature of MOU between Pakistan and Bahrain in August 2017 to build the King Hamad University in Islamabad was another significant development after which the groundbreaking ceremony was done in January 2017. She said that Ambassador Javed Malik’s efforts in making all of his possible were duly recognised. She further added that Bahrain greatly values its ties with Pakistan and will continue to explore ways to upgrade and expand our ties in all areas.
In a separate event held by the Diplomatic community of Bahrain, the dean of the diplomatic corps joined Ambassadors from more than 35 countries including United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Russia, China, Japan, United States, Morocco, Japan to pay special tribute to the Ambassador Javed Malik for his dynamic role as an active and important and vibrant member of the diplomatic community.
While thanking the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Diplomatic corps, Ambassador Javed Malik said that whatever humble contributions he was able to make were only possible due to the support and the guidance he received from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs from both countries, and the cooperation of the diplomatic community. He said that Pakistan shares a historic relationship with Bahrain and the GCC region in general and it will remain his effort to ensure that the our government and our people remain positively engaged and our diplomatic, economic, cultural and strategic ties continue to grow in the years to come.
