KARACHI: Mohammad Aqib scored a hat-trick before netting four more goals to help Haji Samad Football Club record two wins on home and away basis against Moosa Lashari Football Club in the fourth round of the Leisure Leagues Karachi Youth Initiative Football Tournament here at the Gabol Park in Lyari on Monday.
In a thrilling encounter, Haji Samad FC overcame Moosa Lashari FC 3-2. In the second match between the sides, Haji Samad FC thrashed Moosa Lashari FC 5-0.Twenty teams from five districts, divided into two groups, are featuring in the event. Teams in both the groups will play against each other on home and away basis. According to Leisure Leagues rules, a league cannot have more than ten teams. Therefore, the twenty teams playing at one venue have been divided into two groups.
In another two-match tie at Ansar Union, Mohammad Usman of Sajdi Muhammadan hit three goals against Madhoo Muhammadan as his team came out of the ground triumphant 2-0 in both matches.
Noor Baksh scored one goal for the winning side.Leisure Leagues is organising the tournament for the under-privileged youngsters of the city.Each participating player has been given free kit and football shoes. Conveyance allowance has also been given to each team.
